Breakfast Banana Split

This was such a simple breakfast that I made for the kids a month or so ago - simple, and yet doesn't it look so elegant and special?  I saw the idea on another blog post and thought I had to try my own.  This is three little scoops of my own very thick strained "Greek" style yogurt, a banana, some homemade jam, a few blueberries, a sprinkle of some really good locally made granola, and a couple dollops of freshly whipped cream.

And a little whipped cream tip for you - get one of these blender bottles.  It's a super easy to way to quickly make some fresh whipped (or shaken!) cream.  I just put about a quarter to a half a cup of cream in it, drop in the blender ball, and shake, shake, shake.  It only takes a few minutes.
