I love color photography - the vibrance and warmth captured in a moment in time. But sometimes the color can distract from subtle details of a story, and that’s when I turn an image into black and white. When you take the color away other aspects of the story magically appear that you might not have noticed otherwise, light becomes more pure, emotions become more raw, lines become more prominent and draw your attention in different directions.
